Non-metal restorations

Not only do tooth colored fillings look great! They actually provide tooth-strengthening properties to help prevent the need for more costly restorative needs in the future. Modern composites (tooth colored filling material) integrally bond to the tooth. Thus, reinforcing enamel that has been weakened by decay and the expansion properties of amalgam fillings.

Onlays

For teeth requiring more than a filling, we provide conservative options to help restore and strengthen your teeth. If a cavity is too large for a filling or a portion of the tooth is broken off, you may need an onlay or a crown. An onlay is a conservative way to strengthen and restore a tooth while preserving the good, undamaged part of the tooth.

In most cases, onlays are made of special porcelain and once they are placed, they blend in almost perfectly to the natural tooth. They restore the function, strength and beauty of the tooth. Since most of the original tooth is retained, the gums around the tooth can remain healthy and free of irritation with good oral hygiene.
