Meet Dr. Brown

Dr. Brown grew up in Southern California. He graduated college at CSU Long Beach in 1986 and graduated from UCLA Dental School in 1990. He completed his general practice residency at the VA Hospital, La Jolla in 1991. Dr. Brown has practiced in his downtown San Diego office since 1993.

Dr. Brown has dedicated his practice to offering complete, modern dentistry to all patients. He is a member of several professional organizations and participates in local study groups to keep up with the latest techniques. He has made a commitment to providing services that will enable his patients to obtain their optimal dental health. "I believe that everyone should be given the opportunity for excellence."

As an avid surfer, Dr. Brown has been a member of the Surfers Medical Association since 1988. The SMA is a worldwide organization of healthcare professionals that have found a way to combine their passion for surf travel with volunteer efforts to help those in medically deprived parts of the world. On his most recent trip to Fiji, he donated and transported over 500 toothbrushes in his surf bags for the people of Nabilia and Momi villages in addition to spending time at the local school to promote dental education. "To my surprise, most of the people did not even have a toothbrush."

Dr. Brown welcomes you to his practice as a patient and a friend. He prides himself on providing patients with quality dentistry in accordance with each individual's needs and desires. He makes every effort to treat each patient as he would a member of his own family. He welcomes questions and wants to help you keep your teeth in their optimal health.

Active prevention, not reactive repairs, is so very important for healthy teeth and smiles.

Prior to your first appointment, we ask you to come prepared with questions and personal goals for your dental care.
